Changes to my study programme

Imagen
I am a journalism student. I'm in the fourth year of my degree, and I'm getting closer and closer to having my degree in my hands (it's supposed to be five years, but you never know hahaha). And while I don't dislike my degree program that much, I would make some changes to it. One of the things I would change would be the length of the degree. I think that five years is too long, considering that in other countries studying journalism is not so long. As for the curriculum, that is, the subjects I have to study, I would like to have more practical hours, as to learn from TV or radio. On the contrary, I would take hours away from the subjects related to corporate journalism, because I find them boring and tedious. Clearly that's just a perception of mine hahaha. About the university facilities, I don't think I would change much. I would add more areas for recreation and relaxation, please count with green areas and shade, something that today at the universit...

Time travel to the past or future

Imagen
Honestly it's a great question, I always wonder if time travel will ever become real. If it were possible today, I would certainly travel back in time and go back to any time I was immensely happy. It could be some time with family or friends, a memorable soccer game, or even a concert that I really enjoyed. I would definitely choose to travel back in time and relive that feeling of happiness.  I would also like to travel back in time to witness some historical moment of humanity. I think it would be very interesting to see firsthand how certain things happened. Anyway, even if I had the opportunity to travel to the past I would never change something I have already done in my life, even if it is something I regret today, because everything I have done has allowed me to grow as a person and learn from life. And as the saying goes, what's done is done. Therefore, I would only go back to the past for a while and then return (it sounds crazy to say return) to the present to contin...

Blog post 3 Topic: My dream job

Imagen
I am a journalism student, I am in the fourth year of my career, almost about to finish my studies (incredible how fast time went by). I decided to study journalism because since I was in school I was interested in the world of communications, always thinking about developing myself in the sports field, since it is what I like and am passionate about. To be honest, to be honest, more than once I thought about the average salary of a journalist, a situation that sometimes torments me, but well, I always think of the best hahaha. In the not so distant future, I see myself doing what I always dreamed of: covering and reporting on different sporting events around the world. In this sense, I would like to have a job as a foreign correspondent, which will allow me to travel and get to know different places while following sporting events. For this, I think it is important to develop my communication skills in other languages, as it would help me to get by in any country I am in.   ...

The Best Concert Ever

Imagen
"The most Xulo concert" In recent years, I had the fortune to go to several concerts of my favorite singers. However, one that I keep with special affection in my mind was the one Young Cister did at the Movistar Arena in January of this year, where he became the first Chilean artist to fill that venue alone. Young Cister is a very versatile Chilean singer (and producer!), although he is characterized mainly by moving between genres such as trap, reggaeton and lately pop, work that he has developed since the mid-2010s, which positions him as one of the pioneers and promoters of the now so recognized Chilean urban genre.   As I mentioned at the beginning, I experienced Young Cister's show in a special way due to the affection I have for him and his career, since he is an artist I have been following for many years, and he has always been my favorite Chilean urban singer. In fact, five years ago -2018, when he was not as well known as he is today- I went to see him at a...

Blog post 1: A country you would like to visit

Imagen
Egypt A country that I have always wanted to know is Egypt. Since I was a child, I was always interested in the history of that country, since I read a lot about it, besides playing video games about the history of its civilization. Thanks to this, I learned how important Egypt was for the development of world history. Egypt is a fascinating country. Origin of the current western culture, it is a place full of history, mythology and symbolisms that I would love to know and visit, like the hieroglyphics, the pyramids, its temples, sphinxes, pharaohs, etc. Another thing I would like to do there would be to try their typical gastronomy, such as fresh fish from the Mediterranean. Although it is a country that attracts my attention, I do not know if I would like to live there for a long period (or all my life), because it is a country that is far away from the work/personal projects that I have in mind for my future. But anyway, someday I will be touring its places and marveling at its li...
